Description

I've come across these issues and I'd love it if the development team addressed them in a future update...

  1. I've changed the wallpaper but idky the default wallpaper pops up for a second or so at the login page after booting up.
  1. An applet to tweak brightness using a scroll interface.
  1. A note taking app for Raven
  1. And ability to access Spotify straight from the Raven taskbar. ATM is just starts up RythmeBox when I click on play some music.
  1. Also by default idky tarball files get opened by File Manager instead of Archive Manager by default when the file is downloaded from Firefox

Event Timeline

1 is lightdm being goofy

2-4 are Budgie related and should be directed here: https://github.com/solus-project/budgie-desktop/issues

5 is likely a MIME type association you accidentally set up in Firefox. Check "Preferences -> General -> Files and Applciations -> Tar Archive"

Some people recommended I post it here. Sorry if felt as if i'm spam. I had no intentions of spamming...

And suggestions on how to ratify 1?

Also thanks for the help and I'll redirect my comments there.

I don't know of a way off-hand to fix (1). It has been a problem with LightDM for as long as I can remember.

I had the same issue as (1) and I managed to fix it by installing lightdm-settings and then opening it to change the wallpaper to the one you want.

I don’t really remember, but I think you might need open the program from the terminal by running lightdm-settings because I have a vague memory of it not showing up in the menu. If it does then just ignore what I said :)

Thank you @Jacalz, lightdm-settings fixes the lockscreen wallpaper issue. It should be run from terminal, or from menu as "Login Window".
