Update kakoune to v2019.07.01
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Over the past year many changes in the kakoune language have accumulated. As a result, the current package can't run any plugins, which is quite important for any editor.

Assigning to @cnasc for updating. However, as the maintainer of this package does not appear to be active on our development tracker, I'm also putting a notice on this task that in the event it does not receive a patch, by the original packager, to ensure that it is adequately maintained, it will be put up for RFC: Needs Maintainer and marked for pending removal. This will be done after 7 days from this comment.

@StanislavNikolov if this package is important to your workflow and you wish to pick up maintainership of this package, I welcome you to read our packaging documentation found here to learn how to set up your build environment and updating an existing package.

I’ll take a look at updating this ASAP

I'm very inexperienced with the solus build system, but as this is a small and simple package I'm ok to step up as a maintainer. Meanwhile, here's a patch: https://dev.getsol.us/D6667

I'm fine with passing maintainership over; in the end I'm primarily an Emacs user so having someone more involved with Kakoune package it makes a lot of sense.

@cnasc Nah it was more that your account didn't appear to be active so I was just trying to be proactive. Thank you for contributing the patch @StanislavNikolov
