Unable to Read SmartCards with the Identiv uTrust (Cloud) 2700 R
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

After installing ccid and pcsc-lite my (rebranded) Identiv uTrust (formerly Cloud) 2700 D (I have two) for reading smartcards, shows up in software such as GScriptor, however I am unable to connect to either of them.

Over on the AUR comments, others have no issues doing so with the ravkavonline package, a package meant for Ubuntu, without resorting to the closed source drivers (from a bit of research, those are also the same reader, rebranded), and both of my smartcard readers work properly on Windows 10, after installing the drivers.

Steps:

  1. Connect smartcard reader.
  2. Open GScriptor.
  3. Press "Connect" under the "Reader" menu.
  4. "Unknown reader specified" error.

This also happens if I install the closed source drivers from Identiv's website.

Have you started the pcscd service ?

Affirmative, and generally enabled it as well.

Is this still an issue? This should have been resolved by 648513193aa7 in my understanding.

I just checked, and all is well now.
