Desktop Background goes funny after Suspend
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hi All,

I'm fairly confident that this is a Nvidia driver issue, but it wasn't nearly as much as an issue before the Solus 4.0 update.
Before when I logged in my background would briefly look like this before blinking back to normal.

Now it just stays like that. I imagine the response will be "This isn't us, it's Nvidia", the reason why I'm posting here is because it got worse after the 4.0 update and I was hoping someone might have some advice about how to prevent this from happening.

Thanks,

tecosaur.

Among other things I have changed my wallpaper from a jpg wallpaper included in the install to a png and i dont get the wallpaper issues anymore - try it and see if it works for you too? This is what i currently use;

I have the exact same issue. It started happening after GNOME stack update to 3.32. The problem is with compositor which we use: Mutter, which is also a Window Manager for both GNOME and Budgie.

I had to reinstall and now the bug is back with a vengeance - i think i have everything as before but obviously i must be missing something.. fml

Hmm. @berk. That's interesting. I switched from a png to tiff (just to see what would happen) and now I get this:

I'm guessing the best bet is to hope there's a gnome stack update soon that fixes this?
Or perhaps there's a way to get a wallpaper switching script to run on un-suspend.
