Upon further inspection, the project seems to have migrated to gitlab and seems to have a lot of activity nowadays. With news like this about the general code improvements and Nvidia diver support, this seems like quite a good option in Solus.
Any chance that this could be reopened and re-evaluated for inclusion?
Any chance this can be reopened as mentioned above, this is on gitlab I always wondered why i could not use hybrid graphics on my laptop in solus.
Saw this article https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/the-linux-desktop-entry-specification-gets-a-way-to-automatically-use-a-discrete-gpu-merged-into-gnome.16598 and ended up here.
This project is under active development now (with recent releases). The next release of Budgie (10.7) will leverage switcheroo-control to launch applications with the correct GPU profile (though it is not required for Budgie to build or function; it will simply do nothing special if switcheroo-control is not present). I think this would have significant value-add for people with dual-GPU setups, since we can then switch to a dedicated GPU only when needed, helping to improve power usage and battery life.
The repository for it has moved to here, and the latest release tarball is here.
