Hope i put this in the correct place!

@SW1-SCW You should be creating a new task as a sub-task of this one and marking it Patch Submission.

Sorry, Took a bit of poking around to find how creating a sub-task was done.

Don't change priority.

This package is holding me to migrate from Debian Testing to Solus OS. Why is this low priority? Are you lacking maintainers or something else?

Because other things are higher priority. When people keep buggering about with the priority system we lower the priority. Long story short, please don't bugger with the priority system.

With al due respect I wasn't trying to "bugger" the priority system. I just ask if you were lacking of maintainers sincerely in hopes I could help and not just wait for the build to migrate. Sorry to bother you.

PS. Latest version available is a major one, 7.2

I said "bugger about" not just "bugger", there is a distinct difference. The one I meant was lighthearted, and a polite way of saying "messing about with" :)

Man, I'm sorry again, English is not my mother language and I'm not good with slang. Thanks for the aclaration. I'm gonna install Solus (!) in the weekend and see if I can manage to build GRASS using eopkg.

ikey claimed this task.May 3 2017, 3:29 AM

Honestly, nothing to be sorry about ?
I'll also look at this one at the weekend

Or sooner. Given the patch exists ofc.

Cool! Looking forward to this! I was compiling GRASS by myself....

I have a weird layout coming from this atm in the tree, I'll need to poke the makefile to see why its being so cranky

Hey there, is there any update on this package? All the best!

This has sat in accepted for inclusion for coming up on 2 years now. Clearly, there is a lack of demand for the inclusion of this software, nobody has stepped up to provide a patch, maintain it, and properly integrate it. Closing as a result. Feel free to reopen but only when someone offers a patch via our proper patch submission methods and volunteers to be maintainer.

I will start looking in to packaging this soon. I was waiting for version 7.8.0 before packaging this as it was slated as the first release with Python 3 support, however it and the next version (7.8.1) totally flew under my radar.
