This application will not work on Solus right now since it needs jackdbus; which is only supported by JACK2.

Solus currently only has JACK1 without the dbus patch.

Yes, I've tried to build it before :v

Need a link to the sources please.

You might also want to throw in the link to the tarballs in there.

On their web pages they are pointing to https://git.kx.studio/falkTX/Cadence now.

I will have a look at packaging this for the repository. Will see about using the tarballs from: https://github.com/falkTX/Cadence/releases.

I have a pretty much working package for Cadence and most of the tooling needed around it. Will need to reinstall my os as I messed up my Jack install and after that, a revision adding Cadence will be available :)

@Jacalz Sounds great! :)

This is unfortunately blocked until D7307 lands in the repository...

i cannot stress enough how helpful having cadence and jack2 in the solus repos would be :) great work guys

Yeah I agree with you. I still need to add the alsa to jack audio dependency and have to wait for jack2 to land before this. The cadence package will however NOT have pulseaudio to jack installed by default because it breaks pulseaudio upon pressing stop. Advanced users will need to install pulseaudio-module-jack manually if they know what to do, I will not have any responsibility for people breaking their system audio...
