- Name of the software: Shortwave
- Project/product Homepage: https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Shortwave
- Why we should include this into the repository, i.e. what does it do that the alternatives do not?: Gradio is dead and this is the successor.
- Is it open source?: Yes, GNU GPLv3
- If it is open source, please provide a link to the most up to date, versioned source tarball/zipfile. master.zip links will not be accepted.: https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Shortwave/-/archive/v7.2/Shortwave-v7.2.tar.gz

The tarball you linked is not the new Shortwave source. If you take a look inside, you will see that it is the old Gradio code.
Shortwave is not at a stable release yet. But I guess once there is a proper release, it will be definitely included.

Given nobody has stepped up since the this was accepted for inclusion to offer maintainership and patches, closing as WONTFIX. This task should only be opened in the event a patch has been submitted (as opposed to providing a claim that a patch will be provided).
