Update snapd to 2.37 + Apparmor issue
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

A new snapd update is out

https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/releases/download/2.37/snapd_2.37.vendor.tar.xz

Changelog available {here](https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/blob/9eb08d9f5c06dac30fa563094036213cef184062/packaging/ubuntu-16.04/changelog#L1)

there are tones of improvement and bug fixes and we need to update it to grantee working snaps which tend to break/fail when a newer snap version is out.

I tried updating it but all patches are failing and I don't know if we need them or they have to be redone and if so done while installing appArmor profiles compiling fails, dunno if we need to update AppArmor now as well

erm yea, should create patches correctly :)

Looks like Apparmor is a couple releases behind, an update probably wouldn't hurt and might fix some bugs...

Is it likely to fix the core18 related bugs of snapd on Solus? Like this one about Chromium not starting: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1808959

Is there any reason why we are waiting with updating apparmor?

If it would be this simple, I'd updated it already :)
