Bug: some windows in a multi display setup may center with respect to total resolution, not per display.
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

The problem which I encountered occurs when I create a new directory on the desktop. The new window/input box which appears takes center with respect to all displays and not the
display that is currently active, nor does it default to the designated primary display.

When I create a directory in files, the new window/input box centers with respect to the active files window that it is in, but my case it seems to be treating the entirety of the desktop space as a single "window".

The issue you are referring to is related to Nautilus' desktop view, which was deprecated upstream by GNOME in newer releases and we're intentionally holding back so Budgie can continue to have desktop icons until I develop a solution (likely for Budgie 11).

I'm considering this issue as a WONTFIX, since effectively it's an upstream issue and they'd have no intention on fixing something they already completely removed anyways, and I don't have any plans on figuring out a fix and patching both Nautilus (Files) as well as Budgie. I'd rather just nuke it all entirely down the road.
