I apparently have a problem with locale settings on Solus.
When converting documents in Atom editor using Pandoc Convert, I get the following error returned, with this output:
[pandoc-convert] Command failed: /home/user/.atom/packages/pandoc-convert/node_modules/pandoc-bin/vendor/pandoc --standalone --to=docx --output=/home/user/Dropbox/Atom/English/2018-06-03 doc.md.docx /home/user/Dropbox/Atom/English/2018-06-03 doc.md pandoc: loadlocale.c:129: _nl_intern_locale_data: Assertion `cnt < (sizeof (_nl_value_type_LC_TIME) / sizeof (_nl_value_type_LC_TIME[0]))' failed.
One user suggested this might have to do with varying upper- and lower-case extensions of the locale name. E. g.:
LC_CTYPE="en_US.utf8" LC_NUMERIC=en_GB.UTF-8
