Update from software center not load packages and don't give me cancel update
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

I install Solus on my work PC.
Software center recommend me update my software - i choose update(core, security and other packages) all and click apply(or OK, i do it on russian local, not sure)
Maybe cause of job network or any other reason(like i'm from Russia) updates not loads(unlike of ubuntu like distros where is all fine with load from any repo's)
Progress bar hung, i don't have cancel update button - live my work PC on 16+ hours(go home to sleep) - nothing changes.
Reboot PC - try load update again - same story.

Funny thing from my home PC updates loads very well - ~15min
I think it some job network problems.(again - browser and other network depended apps work well)
But i think user need possability cancel updates if he like me have some trouble with load your updates.

I read Solus not support downgrade, but possability canceling update in load package moment - be nice.

Guys, really.
I go to site Solus OS - and read - "we user friendly".
"Apps and other stuff work out-of-box".
I create task about chrome install trouble - https://dev.getsol.us/T7319, and get answer "go to another castle your princess not here"(notice about issue third-party-devs)
I create task about problem with install updates from native Solus OS software center and answer - use cmd.

Every time whean i see - "go to console and write some there" - its not even near to "user friendly".

And i report about issues not for get guide how do some things admin way.
I report in hope - some of this issues be fixed in later releases for common(no console jedy) users.

Cancel button for cancel load packages will be nice.

Just proposing the quickest & easiest solution for your problem. Guess that next time I won't try anymore to help.

The current software center is going to be replaced as you should have seen in The Roundup #5 and in The Roundup #6 since you took the time to browse the Solus OS site. This has been delayed for after the Solus 4 release.

Regarding your princess stuff: You have to send the knight to the good castle if you want to set her free. Just like post mail... if you don't put the correct address/recipient on the envelop, if may not reach the correct place.

Known issue, reported on the old solus-sc tracker (we have a new repo at https://github.com/getsolus/solus-sc). Issues should be filed there, not here, until I've fully moved the project over to Phabricator and we have the tooling in place to facilitate its development.
