Gramps 5.0 was released in July 2018, and contains a lot of bug fixes and new features, see changelog - https://github.com/gramps-project/gramps/blob/master/ChangeLog

Currently 4.2.8 is available in the Software Center which was last updated on Mar 3, 2018.

Gramps is a very popular open source package Genealogy application. I'm not sure how many Solus users use Gramps, but I am sure there are 10's of thousands Linux Gramps users.
