It seems to be fresh and in an active development. It supports the most important Jabber standard extensions (XEP). It is a Gajim alternative which can convince.

No indicated stable release (their 0.0 from last year is not being considered one). Moving it to Awaiting Package Upgrades pending a new release.
Like @olivir said before, there was a release in January. The project is active and the software offers a modern and good looking alternative to gajim. I think it would be nice to reopen this task as many other distros are already providing a package.
Yes Gajim has a lot of functionnalities but it is not very... ergonomics. Dino has a lot of cool features too :
