JoshStrobl moved this task from Backlog to Improvement on the Software board.

Calling #developers and #core_team_org for coordination + engagement, namely:

Sunday/Monday I will fit in a libicu upgrade if there is time and doesn't block other work.

Deferring Phab update to Monday. Other things I gotta get sorted tomorrow, sorry.

We'll call the patch log done thanks to @DataDrake

I've added 3 packages that need rebuilding to update their ABI (and the abi_used_libs)

mysql-workbench is no longer compatible with mariadb, even with our patches. Given that there is a complete ABI and API break with the next version of mysql-connector-cpp as well, these patches are going to be far too much effort to continue updating without a dedicated maintainer for the mysql-workbench package. Since we are not going to hold back mariadb for just this one application, mysql-workbench is currently broken.

With all this in mind, we will be deprecating mysql-workbench this week. I strongly suggest that any current users switch to another comparable application like dbeaver or for basic SQL work, check out sequeler.
