Can't print with hplip 3.18.7
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

hplip, version: 3.18.7, release: 27

Can't print. The following error is displayed:

error while loading shared libraries: libImageProcessor.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This looks like a known issue - refer to:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/59548?project=1&status%5B0%5D=open
https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/slackware-14/cannot-print-on-hp-lj-1020-after-latest-hplip-upgrade-4175635625/

Suffice to say - this is a rather urgent issue for me!

Thanks.

Event Timeline

Try this in the interim and see if it helps.

sudo eopkg install --ignore-dependency https://packages.solus-project.com/shannon/h/hplip/hplip-3.18.6-26-1-x86_64.eopkg

Thanks, but I also had to do hplip-drivers as well:

sudo eopkg install --ignore-dependency https://packages.solus-project.com/shannon/h/hplip/hplip-drivers-3.18.6-26-1-x86_64.eopkg

Printing is working fine now. Appreciate the speedy response.

@pceiley Would you be able to update and see if this is now resolved? You can of course reinstall the old packages as per before if that isn't the case.

Should now be

hplip, version: 3.18.7, release: 28

@sunnyflunk New package works a treat - thanks so much for the quick fix!

Cheers for testing

@pceiley I have updated hplip to the latest version and, if you don't mind, I would really appreciate if you could validate the new packages :

@kyrios123 Drivers are okay, Printer removed and readded and testside printed

Sorry for the delay, @kyrios123. I just tested 3.18.9-32-1 and was again unable to print (same error as my original post).
