Snaps don't work after reboot
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

After restarting, suspend, and hibernate, snaps do not launch. They do work after being removed and re-installed.

Event Timeline

When snaps are installed, they work perfectly. After any type of sleep/reboot of the laptop (Librem 15 rev. 3) snaps do not launch.

Trying to launch a snap after a re-boot yields this error message: 'cannot change profile for the next exec call: No such file or directory
snap-update-ns failed with code 1: No such file or directory'

try

sudo eopkg install snapd --reinstall

This issue needs further investigation. I have 3 separate Solus installs and each has (and has had) the same issue. It's getting a little wearying to keep reinstalling snapd or reloading apparmor, etc.

What logs are you guys looking for so I can help with this?

I had this same problem that snap whatsdesk didn't work after reboot. Tried rebooting couple times then started googling found a reddit thread from year ago that said running sudo apparmor_parser -r /var/lib/snapd/apparmor/profiles/* would fix it and indeed it did.

snap --version prints this
snap 2.39
snapd 2.39
series 16
solus 4.0
kernel 5.0.16-116.current

Installed Solus 4 Budgie couple of days ago if that matters.
