@drakovyrn If I am not mistaking, they said on the Hackfest (which is still live) that it is rather not easy to package. Besides that, it is just a .jar file which you can just download and run.

I don't see the reason for packaging it when it's just a single jar file after build. If you have a justification for it I'll reconsider

@DataDrake I thought it would be an easy and open source launcher that could launch Vanilla Minecraft easily for people, versus creating the /opt/Minecraft/ directory, manually downloading the jar, and making a .desktop file.

Mostly, just removing the hassle. Thus, why I requested the package.

What about the 3rd party repo? I'm not sure how it works exactly, but what stops programs like Minecraft being added to the 3rd party repo?
