Sometimes when I disable microphone, the output is also disabled on a combo port. It will show all the sound settings perfectly but no sound will come out of the earphones. I figured it that it was due to me disabling the microphone and since it was a combo port it disabled sound too.

It took me 3-4 days of trying random things and using windows :/ :( for my development work as I wasn't be able to listen to music while working. The sound now works even when I disable microphone. I will see if it happens again and report back on how to achieve that bug again.
