This currently relies on KDE4 libraries and they aren't going in.

k3b may be pushed into KDE applications in the 16.12.0 release as they've merged the KF5 port in git. However, I don't follow KDE releases to know if this is the case. Is ready to go once this happens

There was actually a tag 3 days ago having no KDE4 depends: v17.03.80

We'll see a release pretty soon (expected: 5th of April) without KDE4 depends.
Just a heads up for those not following KDE releases ;-).

Now in unstable for testing. It seems to be able to use a lot of external programs (many not in Solus) and many look to provide duplicate functionality. So if things are missing for functionality, then let me know
