If during the installation you select a language, then click next, then go back and click on the expansion symbol at the bottom of the selection window, you can click next again without choosing an option (and without an option being highlighted). You'll see in the installation summary that the value for the language selected is None. It seems that value could be an issue for the installation. It seems to have skipped over the selection of a keyboard layout, for instance.
