I have a local build of MATE 1.20.1, below the list of updated components.
I have removed a few unneeded build deps, converted the licenses to SPDX 3.0 and removed the bugfix patches since they have all been committed in the current release.

I have tested this way : From an up-to-date MATE virtual machine, install the package in the following order then reboot.
Make sure my keyboard is still using the correct layout.
Check caja (copy a few files in /tmp), pluma (type some text), atril (open a pdf), and mate calc. I also played with the power settings, added an applet to the panel.

There are no ABI changes expect for atril so it's not a problem.
