Name: Kdiff3
Homepage: http://kdiff3.sourceforge.net/
Reason: It is the most comprehensive diff tool I've found, especially for directory merges. Meld is nowhere near it for example.
Open source: Yes, GPL
Source tarball: https://sourceforge.net/projects/kdiff3/files/kdiff3/0.9.98/
Other: It builds with QT5.

I managed to build it on Solus.
I needed some aditional libs besides system.devel: qt5-base-devel, python-qtpy, mesalib-devel
Damn shame, because it can do some things some people need that Meld just doesn't do...
Can we reconsider the inclusion of kdiff3? Recent tarballs: https://download.kde.org/stable/kdiff3
KDiff3 has been a KDE project for a while now, that Sourceforge link is very old!
See - https://kde.org/applications/en/development/org.kde.kdiff3
I have some packaging for it, I'll push it to my Gitlab - https://gitlab.com/clivejo/kdiff3 when I manage to get a stable connection!
Just a quick note that there's already a diff tool for KDE in Solus called kompare.
Check it out.
@ermo kompare is a different beast. kdiff3 is a 3-way editor like meld, whereas kompare is a 2-way editor, useful to generate patch files. I'd use kdiff3 in place of meld for git mergetool.
