-Solus Budgie installed and downloaded on February 10th
-Previous distros Manjaro and KDE Neon, I also dual boot with Windows, neither had\have similar issues
-Motherboard is an ASUS P8Z68-V LE \ Realtek Network adapter hardware ID VEN_10EC&DEV_8168
-ethtool is identifying the driver as r8169 \ firmware version rtl8168e-3_0.0.4 03/27/12
-Connecting to network via physical connection
Problem has occurred 4 times since install. Issue manifests as internet connection suddenly failing without warning and am unable to communicate to any devices on the network local or otherwise. ifconfig command shows no IP on the device. Issue has occurred both shortly after boot and after hours of use.
Power cycling any external network equipment didn't have any effect. Only fixes so far identified are clicking on the icon on the panel for network connections and clicking on "Wired Connection 1" which allows me to reconnect to the network, or bringing the network adapter back up with ifconfig enp5s0 down\up. dhclient commands failed to grab an IP.
Have tried disabling IPv6 but issue persists.
Issue only seems to happen once per reboot, but only using this for a week it is hard to say for sure
EDIT: Issue sounds somewhat similar to cases brought up by some others - linking below
