Plasma live installed inside a VM
The installation does not create the personal Home folders (Documents/Downloads/Music/Pictures/Videos) I had to create them manually after the installation.

The way folder creation is done is going to be changed so it resolves this and any future related issue that may arise to how it is done now. @ikey will do this as part of this weeks startup improvements and optimizations.

after installing kde connect to test, i downloaded a jpeg & audio files to my pc & they both showed up in the download folder but the docs/video/music/pics folder still cant be created,cant drag & drop files to relevant folders either,acsess denied

They need to be created manually first (kdeconnect obviously does the smart thing of checking for the dir and creating it if it doesn't exist). Run this in konsole

xdg-user-dirs will now run on Plasma login to create these dirs (if they don't exist).
