After install "vscode - 1.19.1" this ask for git installation to run appropriately.
I had to install separately and this worked nice.

I think he means vscode @JoshStrobl since git is actually required for VSCode. I never had git missing on Solus box but when I installed VSCode on Windows machine the first thing that popped was "Install git for git integration to work" or smth like that.
Exactly as @Nikki1993 said. I'm at work now, but I'm going to install Solus on a VM and show a screenshot.
You only need to add git to the dependencies of the vscode installer
