DataDrake triaged this task as Wishlist priority.Sep 15 2016, 4:32 AM
DataDrake edited projects, added Third Party Software; removed Package Requests.
JoshStrobl removed a parent task: T80: MariaDB.
JoshStrobl added a subtask: T80: MariaDB.
JoshStrobl moved this task from Backlog to Accepted For Inclusion on the Third Party Software board.

Does this mean one can download the software now? If so, how? There are only rpm and deb packages available on the website. Forgive my ignorance.

@donb9261 We haven't added it to 3rdParty yet. When we do, this task will be closed and it will be listed first on the wiki ( and later in the Third-Party section of the Software Center.

Can you estimate when DraftSight will be added? I am trying to transition from Ubuntu to Solus completely. I am certain many are trying to do the same thing. Ubuntu has many new broken parts and crashes quite a bit.

Can you estimate when DraftSight will be added?

Unfortunately it is dependent on the speed in which MariaDB is reviewed, fixed, and landed. No ETA.

I have been trying to create Draftsight snap to use on Solus. I would appreciate if someone could continue the work as I have no time to finish it. Here's the snapcraft forum discussion and hastebin snapcraft.yaml

I'd also like to see this added

I work with architects, it would be very useful for me too :)

JoshStrobl claimed this task.

Given we have no plans on flatpaking or snapping this application, closing as wontfix. I'd suggest reaching out to the respective developers about supporting either of those distribution and container models, or taking on the initiative.
