Offering a porting of Da Vinci Resolve to Solus would allow any user who has to work on video (Youtuber, podcaster, director, editor, editor, holidaymaker...) to do without laborious installation procedures to use Premiere Pro or to quit distribution because of the limitations of currently available open-source software.
