Network Manager Problem
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

{F748954}I can't connect to WPA/WPA2 networks. There is no place to type password. I has happened since last update. I am thankful that the old wifi network works. I have tried resizing the windows but the window couldn't be resized. I have tried changing the theme but it doesn't help. I had tried adding from Edit Connections but it also doesn't show the security type of WPA/WPA2.
Please help. I can't use wifi at my school or workplace.

Please do not assign priorities to tasks - this will be done by the team and only confuses things (often meaning they don't get seen as they're not put on a proper workboard)

Would it be possible for you to tell me when will it be fixed?

Had the same issue on my laptop...

Found the relevant upstream regression in GNOME: https://git.gnome.org/browse/network-manager-applet/commit/?id=6a0967b1b013dfff01da681006a825050bb06661

They released 1.8.6 and haven't released 1.8.7 to address something that is clearly a game breaker. I'm taking our NMA to git .

https://git.gnome.org/browse/network-manager-applet/commit/?id=3d7c0a89da37074e6986262d4708d4093bf496f2 as well, this is seriously poor.

Working to get an emergency sync out today, apologies for this..

Current build in unstable:

Getting things together now to enable a sync

Now fixed, apologies again. Fix is in stable, it might require using ethernet to update if you're currently roaming and away from a home network.

No need to be sorry, shit happens ;)

I can conform that wifi works again :)
