I looked through the installation instructions and came across some information that would probably be useful for who packages this:
Accepting under the assumption that this is compatible with newer networkmanager releases
Asking around if anyone is able to package and maintain this (unfortunately I'm unable to do any packaging). Having a well-integrated networkmanager-strongswan is the only way for me to connect to an algo server from Solus. It would not work with libreswan which was requested elsehwere.
As this task has been marked Needs Maintainer for a month with nobody having stepped up to become maintainer, in addition to providing an acceptable patch for inclusion, marking as WONTFIX. Feel free to re-open when a patch has been submitted via the proper processes.
