A clone of Media Player Classic reimplemented in Qt.
Media Player Classic Home Cinema (mpc-hc) is considered by many to be the quintessential media player for the Windows desktop. Media Player Classic Qute Theater (mpc-qt) aims to reproduce most of the interface and functionality of mpc-hc while using libmpv to play video instead of DirectShow.

MPC-QT is, by far, the most sophisticated frontend for mpv. It replicates nearly everything that MPC-HC does. It is also written in Qt therefore it will work very nicely with the upcoming plasma and budgie-qt versions of Solus.

I find MPC-HC really, really good. Unfortunately tho, this MPC-QT is incomplete atm, as stated by its dev on the github page you linked. I guess we have to wait some more to see it in the Solus repo.

@livingsilver94 I disagree. I've been using it for a few months now and everything works great. It's pretty much feature complete at this point.

Even I was used to this it works like a charm, fast and smooth..playback quality is perfectly fine, skip forward/backward(I mean short forward/backwd jump) is much much better than VLC, works perfectly to be exact which I use all the time...
most importantly VLC lags & playback quality is little poor sometimes
