What features are you interested in above what's done with the plasma sound applet? (out of curiosity, I couldn't see much extra it did)

Sorry for the late reply. To be honest i'm interested in the second feature to make an integration of plasma stuff with i3. I think the OSD may be integrated with Kwin so when you replace it with i3 you don't get this feature.

While I don't recommend using this with the default config, perhaps has value when not using kwin.
