Unable to reproduce under GNOME Control Center 3.26.2.

Same problem with GNOME Control Center 3.26.2

Not sure if it matters, but this happens on Budgie. Haven't tried to reproduce this on GNOME Shell.

Justin added a subscriber: Justin.Nov 3 2017, 3:36 AM

Can't reproduce on my Budgie VM either, up to date stable.

Unknown Object (User) added a comment.Nov 3 2017, 11:57 AM

Strange. I can still reproduce this with 3.26.2 Did several reboots but none of them fixed the problem.

Try re-installing gnome-control-center.

If that doesn't work re-install it and it's dependencies:

sudo eopkg it --reinstall gnome-control-center colord libxml2 ibus clutter-gtk clutter libgudev network-manager gnome-bluetooth samba libpwquality libxi glibc libgnome-desktop fontconfig gdk-pixbuf libatk modem-manager libsoup libcolord-gtk upower cups kerberos libwacom polkit pango libgtk-3 grilo libcairo libx11 pulseaudio network-manager-applet accountsservice gnome-online-accounts libgtop libgcc glib2 libcanberra cups-pk-helper glib-networking gnome-color-manager gvfs-goa libgnomekbd sound-theme-freedesktop vino

Re-installed gnome-control-center to no avail, then reinstalled all of its dependencies to no avail.

It's not like I need the Users pane right now, but it should work nonetheless in case I ever do need it...

Installed Solus OS a few weeks ago, didn't make any big changes to settings or the desktop environment and have the same problem.
If more information is needed to solve this issue please tell!

JoshStrobl edited projects, added Upstream Issue; removed Software.

Appears to be an upstream issue with GNOME Control Center or AccountsService.

I'm going to close this as:

  1. I haven't noticed this issue anymore after my reinstall from a couple of weeks ago.
  2. As Josh points out, this is most likely an upstream bug rather than a Solus bug.
