Installing Simple Scan via the software center created a simple-scan.desktop file with a strange icon on the desktop. Clicking on that desktop icon resulted in a warning that launching it is not trustworthy.

In the eopkg I see there is a desktop file in /usr/share/applications/simple-scan.desktop

Right, that doesn't get added to the desktop automatically @kyrios123, hence @Justin's question.

Cannot reproduce it on another machine, not sure how it happened. Will re-open if it appears again.
