Mednafen has the ability to remap hotkey functions and virtual system inputs to a keyboard, a joystick, or both simultaneously. Save states are supported, as is real-time game rewinding. Why we should include this into the repository?
It is fast and portable using KISS principles. While there are individual alternatives, this packages the best together and can launch a rom with one simple command. Several of the built-in emulators are unique as well. Its PSX emulator is more efficient and less resource intensive than others and the Sega Saturn emulator is miles ahead of other alternatives. Besides, it has a Virtual Boy emulator included as well. VIRTUAL BOY! ;)

Most Recent Release: Mednafen 0.9.48 (September 18, 2017)
