I'm having several problems with a trackpad:
a) Cursor is not fluid / has micro stutter,
b) Cursor has too much inertia and overshoots the target,
c) Cursor control and accuracy poor – can not make small adjustments, must back away and re-approach the target,
d) Tip of finger is not well recognized, especially for double tapping. Frequently must use the pad of the finger.

I've just booted a recent live Antergos ISO and while cursor control is not perfect, it's about 300% better. That ISO is currently on libinput v1.8.0-1. While I'm sure that you will get to it eventually, I'd like to get a libinput update on your radar screen, if I may.
