Mongodb Compass
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

Compass is a software to manage mongo databases. https://www.mongodb.com/download-center?jmp=nav#compass

Not sure if it's open source but that would be nice to have a software in solus to manage mongo database.

Is there any hope to add mongodb compass in the third party repo anytime soon?

Given we have no plans on flatpaking or snapping this application, closing as wontfix. I'd suggest reaching out to the respective developers about supporting either of those distribution and container models, or taking on the initiative.

Ok,but I though if alternative is found MongoDB Compass is not needed.

@n3dx It is marked WONTFIX since we won't be adding any further items to the Third Party repository. Furthermore, Robomongo was accepted for inclusion however nobody decided to become a package maintainer of it and supply us patches for inclusion into the repository (for over a year, mind you). If you're interested in supporting Robomongo, I'd encourage you to take a look at T1188

Thank you appreciate it ,but this package could be used without compiling it from source code.It is simple executable file.I can indeed support Robomongo ,but no need to compile it from scratch just update files from official download page.
Thank you for your time

We require that it be built from scratch in order to allow us to optimize and integrate it. Only closed-source redistributable software are exempt from this policy.
