Why we should include this into the repository, i.e. what does it do that the alternatives do not? this IRC software has a plenty of features that is unique to it...such as Encryption end-to-end for queries and even channels...DCC chat over SSL and here is a list of features : http://www.kvirc.net/?id=features&lang=en

all tho they recommend using the nightly builds the latest stable announced is 4.2.0 which is really old

I don't think it's allowed maybe one of the Solus Team will guide you through
their version 4.9.3 is considered to be stable enough tho

there is a beta 5.0.0 https://github.com/kvirc/KVIrc/releases/tag/5.0.0-beta1
however it's already a stable release. they just don't want to release it as a stable lol
