Description

Name: pantheon-files-plugin-dropbox
Homepage: https://elementary.io

This plugin adds Dropbox integration to Pantheon Files.
All users who use both Dropbox and Pantheon Files will most likely find this useful.

Here's the latest tarball https://launchpad.net/~elementary-os/+archive/ubuntu/daily/+files/pantheon-files-plugin-dropbox_0.1-0~26~daily~ubuntu16.04.1.tar.xz
The tarball from the stable elementary repo doesn't work with the version of Pantheon Files being shipped on Solus so I've linked the version used in the daily elementary repo.

The tarball for Files doesn't include the dropbox plugin.

Then it will have to wait until it is merged into a newer release. That's a branch of pantheon-files, not a separate package.

It's not a branch of pantheon-files, it's a separate package. It's available as pantheon-files-plugin-dropbox in both the elementary Stable and Daily PPAs. I have linked the tarball from the package available in the Daily PPA. If you download the debian package you get 2 files, you place them in the pantheon-files plugin directory and you're golden.

I assure you. It is a branch of Pantheon Files.

Sure looks like a package to me.

In Ubuntu, yes. There is no source tarball from which we can distribute this. It's also a dead fork of nautilus-dropbox which is dead itself, for dead tech, i.e. the old Marlin components in Pantheon Files.

Unless I get clarification from elementary guys that they intend to maintain this or that it is indeed used in the recent Pantheon Files versions, it cannot go into Solus. The tarball you have linked is an unstable
build artifact of the PPA system and may disappear upon any edit or rebuild, so it's not suitable for usage outside of apt source

(i.e. if you find the deets for me I'll _see_ if I can make concessions, but not with that tarball and the way things currently look.)

Thanks for the explanation. I'll hit up the elementary guys and ask about it.
