Request a package: unison-gtk
Closed, WontfixPublic

Why we should include this into the repository, i.e. what does it do that the alternatives do not?
Solus already provides unison, thus having unison-gtk would be a great enhancement.

Is it open source?

If it is open source, please provide a link to the most up to date, versioned source tarball/zipfile. links will not be accepted.

I'll enable this in the existing unison package and have it get split out into unison-gtk.

@DataDrake I appreciate it, thanks!

I made a package.yml for it. Mostly stolen from Archlinux.

The current unison package just downloads a binary. This package.yml builds it from source including the GTK version.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that it also requires lablgtk2.

The current unison package just downloads a binary.

No it doesn't. It builds it from source.

@DataDrake Oh, yeah it does. I'm not sure where I got that impression. Probably missed the build section in the package.yml. Sorry about that.

Casually prodding @DataDrake while going through requests.

This has sat in accepted for inclusion for over 30 days. Clearly, there is a lack of demand for the inclusion of this software, nobody has stepped up to provide a completed patch, maintain it, and properly integrate it. Closing as a result. Feel free to reopen but only when someone offers a patch via our proper patch submission methods and volunteers to be maintainer.
