After Recent Updates laptop enters a suspend loop when waking from closed lid

Description

So after I installed the updates pushed today I noticed that my laptop now enters a suspend loop whenever it wakes from having the lid closed. It has never done this before in Solus.

I believe that I have fixed this issue by entering "button.lid_init_state=open" as a boot parameter in the file /etc/kernel/cmdline. Also make sure to run "sudo clr-boot-manager update" after.
