Now that you are rebuilding the kernel, any chance you could take at look at the systemd-fscheck message to hide it too (silent boot related)

Thanks in advance!

@yaymalaga we reverted the stuff that make it truly silent because it broke booting on some systems,
What is your tuned mount count on the rootfs?

@ikey oh, didn't know that, I just thought you maybe forgot about this;p And how can I check that?

Something like:

$ sudo tune2fs -l /dev/nvme0n1p3

Replacing the device with your / device

@ikey This appeared (I used /dev/sda):
"tune2fs 1.43.4 (31-Jan-2017)
tune2fs: Número mágico incorrecto en el superbloque mientras se intentaba abrir /dev/sda (translated: Superblock incorrect magic number when trying to open /dev/sda)
/dev/sda contiene datos `DOS/MBR boot sector'"

I'm using a bios system with grub2, so I believe the last sentence is due to that.

I also use two hard-drives:

  • One ssd where I selected to install solus using all disk (LUKS).
  • One hdd in ntfs.

Attached one screenshot from gparted and one from Solus boot.

@ikey Just one more thing to add in maybe. Cuda for the nvidia binary driver, iirc it was missing some bits still.

I know I'm behind on this had a super hectic weekend. More details will follow tonight

@ikey Running Qt-5.9 with no sweat (even calibre runs without a rebuild xD). But should wait till after a sync as pushing it through plus rebuilds (and hopefully some community testing) will take potentially 2-3 days.

Title change as Ikey has gone fishing for the weekend. :)

We did most of this and i cant track this crap anymore :P
