When booting into the MATE edition, the default cursor theme only gets applied after login. This doesn't happen in both GNOME and Budgie editions.

There is a minor hack we can apply but it means the potential for mate/budgie artwork packages conflicting

Now I see the black Breeze pointer on the login screen and after logging in, I see the white Mate pointer I've set in Appearance Preferences > Theme > Customize > Pointer.
I thought this would show my custom white Mate pointer at the login screen too.
