Well. It does in that we can mount the images. What would the CD emulation be needed for, WINE games?

In my case yes. I have a couple iso image and ccd images made with virtualCD that I would like to mount and use. The installers look for a CD drive.
Is there away to easily mount the images like they are a cd drive? How would I go about mounting the image now?
I saw some in some distros nautilus can do it. Not sure how though. Still learning.

So make sure you have gnome-disk-utility installed and see if you can right click mount the images
In winecfg you can create fake drives from mount points iirc

So it doesnt like the ccd based images. I might be able to convert them to iso though and see if it will work that way. Might give that a shot tmrw. Thanks for the suggestions.
If that doesnt work I will see if I can make cdemu from source with the make files. Never hurts to try something new :P

All done! You'll need to reboot the first time you install it so that udev/kernel modules are sorted out
