Description

This library is needed to use the hdf5 file format which is extensively used as a data container in various scientific applications.

As it is my first patch ever, I expect it to be not so clean. Sorry about that. Also I was not able to find a correct license name in the COPYING file. Again, as I'm new to that I may have missed it.

  1. The additional content in HDF5's license beyond point #2 is just plain gibberish. The license is BSD-3-Clause.
  2. /usr/local/hdf5 isn't an accepted prefix. The prefix needs to be /usr, which is likely the default anyways.
  3. multimedia.library is the incorrect component for this. Please put it in programming.

Thank you for your feedback. Here is the new patch.
If you have some time, can you explain me how you figured out the LICENSE thing?

Honestly, I figured it out because I've seen licensing a million and one times and I just copy / pasted point 2 to see if it was BSD-2-Clause or BSD-3-Clause.
