- Update the btrfs-progs package to the most recent release, 4.7
- Enable building the btrfs documentation
- Use "component:" in package.yml rather than component.xml
I believe so, btrfs-progs is supposed to be more or less kernel independent. If there is a feature that's not supported by the kernel, the command just exits with an error.
Testing building 4.7 from source and using it with a loop device I didn't see any issues making and mounting a btrfs filesystem and running a few commands on it. If you want a better answer, I can search/ask on the mailing list.
Yeah I mean it'd it invalid ioctl anyway if it derps on the kernel driver.
Well as long as it can still mount a local btrfs system that's fine with me, its only really in for the future Docker packaging tbqh
