I noticed on the Wiktionary main page that the Gothic characters were not rendered properly:

Well unless you provide an open source font that can render these characters, I don't see this being fixed.
These fonts are in Unicode standard version 9.0: http://unicode.org/charts/PDF/U10330.pdf. Not sure where to find its open source font.
Well I welcome you to file a package request if you find an OFL-licensed font that supports those characters. Until then I don't have any actionable items on this task.

I found Noto Sans Gothic here: https://www.google.com/get/noto/#sans-goth (8.7 KB)
I downloaded the zip file, opened the ttf file which opened with Mate Font Viewer and clicked Install thinking it would not work.
Seems it worked fine, and I can see Gothic characters now!

Euhm... @mate-user if you install stuffs on your own and you don't know how to remove them, this is not the right place to request for assistance. Please use the social media in the future so we can stay focused on the tasks that are really related to Solus.
To remove the fonts you have installed yourself, just look at the filename in the archive your downloaded and delete it from the location you placed it.
sudo find / -type f -name NotoSansGothic-Regular.ttf -delete 2>/dev/null
