Psensor missing indicator features
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The psensor indicator does not include the context menu and the "Display sensor in the label" option does not work.

When running psensor from the terminal I'm greeted with:

(psensor:2801): Gtk-WARNING **: Could not find signal handler 'cb_menu_show'. Did you compile with -rdynamic?

(psensor:2801): Gtk-WARNING **: Could not find signal handler 'ui_appindicator_cb_sensor_preferences'. Did you compile with -rdynamic?

(psensor:2801): Gtk-WARNING **: Could not find signal handler 'ui_appindicator_cb_preferences'. Did you compile with -rdynamic?

I assume it has something to do with that.

It uses appindicator, which isn't supported.

@JoshStrobl If it were a feature request to be added on an app that would show current cpu temperature in the panel in Solus: would that be a Budgie issue (https://github.com/budgie-desktop/budgie-desktop/issues) or should it be posted under Phabricator?

@ikey - Or maybe a such request shouldn't be posted at all given that soon, in Budgie 11, things will be too different on this matter ?

That'd be the responsibility of a third party to develop a Budgie panel applet. You're welcome to put it at https://github.com/budgie-desktop/budgie-site/issues/8 so I'll know to document it on the Budgie site.

Someone can write an applet against Budgie 10.3 or wait until Budgie 11. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't in-tree though.
