I have updated the patch to clean up package.yml a bit.

You have to build this from source. Stripping a .deb is not an acceptable way of packaging an open-source application.

Given no amount of package fixing will enable this to land outside of building from source, marking as invalid. You're welcome to file a new request when you're doing do.
