Name: LinuxSampler

LinuxSampler provides a sampler audio plugin suitable for use in Ardour and Bitwig Studio. It can load GigaStudio/GigaSampler, SoundFont, and SFZ sample instruments. Currently, there is no other plugin that loads any of these three formats.
Open Source: Yes
Users: The same userbase that finds Ardour and Bitwig useful may also find LinuxSampler of use. Honestly, not that many people (not the 'average user's), but a group I feel should be catered towards.

Upon further investigation, this is proving harder to package than I had anticipated. linuxsampler fails to find files that libgig clearly provides, gigedit also fails to compile. I might keep having a fiddle, but I'm out of my depth. Unless someone else has a passion for it, this might prove to be more of a burden than a blessing to have packaged.

This has sat in accepted for inclusion for over a year now. Clearly, there is a lack of demand for the inclusion of this software, nobody has stepped up to provide a patch, maintain it, and properly integrate it. Closing as a result. Feel free to reopen but only when someone offers a patch via our proper patch submission methods and volunteers to be maintainer.
